Percy Harvin was traded from the Seattle Seahawks to the New York Jets on Friday and the stories about why he was traded continue to grow by the hour.
If you hadn’t heard already, Percy Harvin is apparently the hardest human being on the planet to get along with. He was traded in 2013 from the Minnesota Vikings to the Seattle Seahawks over character issues and the Sehawks then traded him this week to the Jets over the same issues.

Jay Glazer, who broke the story on Friday, has been dropping knowledge on us all since then about the incidents involving Harvin that piled up against him. We’ve all heard the stories about him fighting teammates but more recently Glazer highlights a lack of team chemistry that led to the trade.
On Fox NFL Sunday Pregame, Glazer reported that the final straws that broke the backs of the Seahawks involved Harvin pulling himself out of games against the Dallas Cowboys and San Diego Chargers over not getting the ball enough. Coincidentally, those are the only two losses on the season for the Seahawks.
Glazer also reports that Harvin pulled himself out of preseason games when Earl Thomas was getting reps as punt returner instead of Harvin.
Essentially, Harvin is a giant cry baby that no one wants to pay $41 million to deal with. He’s no doubt a talented player, but Harvin is just a jerk — there’s no other way to put it. The Vikings didn’t want him, the Seahawks didn’t want him and the Jets may grow tired of him in due time as well.
