Rams’ Tre Mason Rushes for First Career Touchdown (Video)
Rams rookie running back Tre Mason found the end zone for the first time in his career on Sunday.
It looks like former Auburn Tigers star turned St. Louis Rams running back Tre Mason’s career is officially off the ground. Against the Seattle Seahawks, Mason scored the first rushing touchdown of his career, a six-yarder in the red zone.
After an excellent college career, there was a lot of hype surrounding Mason, especially after a BCS championship game in which the tailback rushed for 195 yards and a touchdown.
Unfortunately for the Rams, a wrist injury postponed Mason’s NFL debut, having made his first NFL appearance last Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers, rushing for 40 yards on five carries.
With the Rams sticking with Austin Davis at quarterback, Mason’s presence on the field could open things up for the young quarterback and vice-versa.
Through the first quarter, Mason has rushed for 43 yards on six carries.
