Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans entered this season with so much hope, but as the team enters its bye week, the best receiver on the team is on the trading block.

Vincent Jackson was a massive free agent acquisition for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in 2012, and his tenure with the team may already be over. In what would be a symbolic move of failure, Vincent Jackson is on the trading block in Tampa Bay as the team is fielding calls about possible deals.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Buccaneers are spending their bye week fielding trade calls about Vincent Jackson, who they’re open to trading.

"“They are getting a ton of calls on him. With just one win, I’m told they are open to anything even though they love him as a player.”"

Should the Buccaneers trade Vincent Jackson, it would not only signal that the team is throwing in the towel but also that the last three or four years have been an absolute wash. It’s been a while since the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been good and Jackson was supposed to help change fortunes.

At 1-6 through seven weeks in the season, the Buccaneers trading Jackson would be  encompassing of the team’s failure to do anything right the last few years.
