Derrick Rose isn’t sure if he’s ever going to be the same player he was before he tore his ACL in 2012, but so far he’s been his vintage self against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night.
The Chicago Bulls are trying to get back to where they were in 2011 when they came three games away from their first NBA Finals berth since 1997-98. But LeBron James and the Miami Heat stood in the way in 2011, and he may stand in Rose’s way again in 2014 as part of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

But so far, Rose has been looking like hid former self as the Bulls guard went off in the first half against the Cavaliers for 20 points in the first half on Monday night. On his way to those 20 points, Rose turned in some vintage highlight buckets that are going to make Bulls fans very excited for what this season may hold.
Two of Rose’s best buckets came late in the first half when he got cartoonish like he used to do before he tore his ACL back in 2012.
The Bulls need Rose to be lights out this season but more importantly they need him to stay healthy as long as possible. He has been a wash with the Bulls the last few seasons, but that can all change this season.
It’s already looking like that is changing, as Rose no doubt has some explosiveness back which is dangerous for the rest of the league.
