The Jacksonville Jaguars got their first win of the season Sunday, but paid a price. Linebacker Paul Posluszny is out for the season and defensive end Andre Branch will miss six weeks.

The Jacksonville Jaguars beat the Cleveland Browns 24-6 on Sunday for their first victory of the season, but it came at a high cost.

Middle linebacker Paul Posluszny will miss the rest of the season after sustaining a torn pectoral Sunday. Defensive end Andre Branch, meanwhile, will miss six weeks with a groin injury, according to NFL.com.

"“It’s a big loss,” Jacksonville coach Gus Bradley said of Posluszny. “He’s really come into his own, really understands the defense now. That’ll be a difficult one.”"

Posluszny is the Jags’ leading tackler this year with 69, the fourth straight year he’s led the team in stops. He also has two sacks and a pass defensed.

He made his first Pro Bowl last season after posting 162 tackles, three sacks, nine passes defensed, two interceptions (one a pick six) and a forced fumble.

Branch, a third-year player out of Clemson, has three sacks, two forced fumbles, 13 tackles and two pass deflections this season.

Posluszny is in his eighth season, his fourth with Jacksonville. After playing four seasons with the Buffalo Bills, Posluszny signed a six-year, $42 million with $15 million in guarantees with the Jaguars in July 2011.

Branch was a second-round pick out of Clemson in 2012 and has 10 career sacks.
