Steelers vs. Texans Final Score: Pittsburgh Lights Up Houston 30-23
By Josh Hill
The Houston Texans started out strong against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but they quickly imploded to hand the lead and the game over in embarrassing fashion.
If you stopped watching the Monday Night Football game between the Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers right before halftime, then you might be puzzled by the outcome of the game. It’s not that the Steelers aren’t capable of making comebacks, it’s just that the momentum of the game shifted so violently in such rapid time.

Within the span of a few minutes before halftime, the Houston Texans watched as the score went from 13-0 in favor of the visitors to 24-13 and Houston playing form behind.
The floodgates opened on Monday Night following a field goal by Shaun Suisham that was followed by a fruitless possession by the Texans. Pittsburgh answered with a two-play touchdown drive to make the score 13-10, but the breaks kept coming. On the next drive for Houston, Arian Foster fumbled the ball which helped set up another touchdown drive for the Steelers in just one play after the fumble.
The final dagger came when Brett Keisel intercepted a pass on the next Texans possession to set up another touchdown to make the halftime score 24-13. It was 24 unanswered points for the Steelers that daggered the Texans before halftime, but Houston wasn’t down and out.
Arian Foster added a late touchdown for the Texans after the Steelers had made the game 30-16, but it was too little too late. Houston’s implosion was incredible to watch, as the three touchdowns allowed in under three minutes at halftime was painful but so were the fumbles at crucial times.
DeAndre Hopkins stunted the Texans momentum on a drive that looked to be getting hot late in the fourth quarter, and it was just that kind of night for the now 3-4 Houston Texans.
