The

Los Angeles Lakers

played host to the

Utah Jazz

on Sunday night.

The Lakers came away with a 98-91 victory behind 26 points from Kobe Bryant. Another veteran, former Jazz power forward Carlos Boozer, also played a big role in the win.

Carlos Boozer scored 19 points on six-of-12 shooting, grabbed nine rebounds and had six steals in the victory. His former team was apparently impressed.

According to Bill Oram of The Orange County Register, the Jazz love Carlos Boozer.

Due to the rules in the NBA‘s latest CBA, the Lakers can’t deal Carlos Boozer because he was acquired via amnesty waivers after the Chicago Bulls used the amnesty clause to waive him.

Carlos Boozer famously left the Cleveland Cavaliers to join the Jazz, which surprised and angered. The Bulls signed Boozer after they struck out with the stars in the famed class of 2010 that consisted of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Joe Johnson, among others.

Carlos Boozer averaged 13.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game while shooting 45.6% from the field and 76.7% from the free throw line last season. In his career, he has put up 16.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 52.3% from the floor and 72.7% from the charity strip. He has played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Utah Jazz and Bulls.
