Fantasy Football Waiver Wire 2014: Top 10 Week 8 pickups
Carson Palmer-Arizona Cardinals (9.6%)
While he still isn’t attacking down the field as aggressively as he is known for, Palmer is turning in good numbers for the Cardinals and continues to produce at a solid level for a QB1 flier or a solid QB2. In his two games since returning, he’s turned in very similar stat lines with 250 and 253 yards passing and a pair of touchdowns against the Redskins and Raiders.
Palmer is the leader of an offense that is well-stocked with weapons with Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd, and John Brown at receiver and Andre Ellington emerging as a workhorse back. Palmer utilizes his weapons well and seems to be reliable for multiple touchdowns almost every time he is able to get the start.
This week, he and the Cardinals head east for what could be a shootout in Philadelphia against a suspect Eagles secondary which has been playing a little bit better lately. Palmer will look to continue his success and keep the Cardinals rolling as one of the bigger surprise teams in the NFL this season.
