GolfBeer Brewing will initially be available on draft at select golf courses and restaurants in Florida, then expand to bars and grocery stores in 2015.
The trio will offer three beers initially, one for each golfer: The first, Jacobson’s Scandinavian Style Blonde Ale (brewed with Crystal malt and a variety of European hops), Bradley’s New England Style Lager (brewed with two-row barley and a variety of North American hops) and McDowell’s Celtic Style Pale Ale (a crisp, refreshing ale with a floral nose and snappy finish). Each beer is between 4.5 percent and 5 percent alcohol by volume.
Golf is a gentleman’s game and of course alcohol has always been a part of that. This will be the first beer brand created by professional golfers. In the past, Greg Norman and Luke Donald have created brand of wine but McDowell, Bradley and Jacobsen are creating beer, what no golfer has done before.
“Our lives have always revolved around golf, but we also are passionate about great beer, so we’re really excited about this,” Freddie Jacobsen said about the new partnership and company.
