Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean is currently expecting to see Locker starting in Week 8.
Locker injured his thumb during the Titans’ Week 5 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. Tennessee rolled with backup quarterback Charlie Whitehurst to finish that game and the two that followed, a Week 6 home game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and a Week 7 road game against the Washington Redskins. The Titans only defeated the Jaguars in that three-game span.
At 2-5, the Titans desperately need a victory over the Texans this Sunday if they have any hopes of saving their season.
Getting Locker back should be a boost for the Titans offense. Locker has thrown for 764 yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions this season.
The Titans selected Locker with the No. 8 overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft. For his career, Locker has thrown for 4,738 yards and 26 touchdowns with an 80.2 passer rating.
