According to Jim Wyatt, who is the Tennessee Titans beat writer, pending a physical the Titans will be shipping their former second round draft pick up to New England for basically nothing at all.
A sixth-round draft pick is a lot better than nothing, but it’s not something that the Titans will tout in the trade. That being said, Ayers wasn’t playing much with Tennessee and was in desperate need of a second chance in the NFL. He appears to be getting that in New England where he’ll more than likely be starting in no time at all.
Tennessee still needs to find it identity but Ayers wasn’t factoring into that much. Instead, he’ll have a chance to restart his career in New England while the Titans have a draft pick that could end u being valuable in the future.
