Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll is disappointed that he couldn’t work out the situation with former Seahawks wide receiver and current New York Jet Percy Harvin.
Percy Harvin needed to be traded away. Not because of his performance or ability to get injured, but it was his off the field attitude and violence with teammates that led him to be a locker room hazard. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll is disappointed he couldn’t work the situation out and Harvin had to be traded to the New York Jets.

“We’ve had a lot of cases that called for understanding and compassion and strength and vision,” Carroll said Monday on 710 ESPN Seattle. “But sometimes it just doesn’t work. Most of the time I feel like it does for me, so I take it hard.”
According to reports Carroll and Seahawks general manager John Schneider knew that Percy Harvin had temperament issues with the Minnesota Vikings and before that at the University of Florida but seemed to want him regardless of his personal issues because of his fantastic play-making.
Accoridng to ESPN’s Ed Werder, Percy Harvin never even tried to fit in with his teammates, but remained isolated and selfish.
“I couldn’t make it work for our team and our players,” Carroll said. “I was disappointed, because I told John I would get this done. I thought I could, but it didn’t work out the way we had hoped and we had to make our move.”
The Seattle Seawhawks are showing signs of struggle this season especially after Sunday’s 28-26 loss to the St. Louis Rams which puts the Seahawks at 3-3 on the season. They also have losses to the Dallas Cowboys and San Diego Chargers. We’ll see if the Seahawks can put Percy Harvin behind them and bounce back this season.
