Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Da’Quan Bowers Suspended Two Games For PEDs

Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end Da’Quan Bowers has been suspended by the NFL for two games for use of performance-enhancing drugs.
When things are going bad for a team, they go really bad, and such is the case for the Buccaneers and Da’Quan Bowers.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers come out of their bye week down a player as it was reported Tuesday that defensive end Da’Quan Bowers has been suspended for two games for a violation of the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy.

Bowers, in his fourth season, started two of Tampa Bay’s first five games and has six tackles and one sack this season.
He was a second-round draft pick out of Clemson in 2011 and has 6 ½ sacks in his career, starting 10 of his 44 games.
Bowers was listed as a backup to Gerald McCoy at defensive tackle on the Buccaneers’ depth chart.
He had five tackles in Tampa Bay’s lone victory this season, a 27-24 win at Pittsburgh in Week 4.
Bowers was a star at Clemson, earning unanimous All-American honors and winning both the Nagurski and Hendricks trophies in his final season there.
The 24-year-old will be eligible to return to the active roster on Nov. 3 and will miss the Bucs’ games on Sunday at home against Minnesota and on Nov. 2 at Cleveland.
