WWE Raw had itās share of hits and misses, with a big Mick Foley return
Two weeks in a row and two weeks of WWE Raw that has set up their pay-per-view show on Sunday, Hell in a Cell, to be a show to look forward to. Going by the build up of the show and if I didnāt already have the WWE Network, I would be buying the show just coming off these last two weeks.
While the three hours is still too long, this weekās episode had more ups than downs. It left you excited for Sunday and doesnāt necessarily become predictable. Mix in the cell for two matches, and Iām looking forward to seeing two great main event matches bring down the house.
Hereās the hits and misses from Mondayās WWE Raw:

Randy Orton vs. John Cena in #1 Contenderās Match; Paul Heyman gets RKOād
While Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins will more than likely steal the show on Sunday, Iām glad WWE made the Orton vs. Cena match worth something. Adding the stipulation of the winner going on to face the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at some point brings merit to the match.
Itās great to see Orton get some mic time alone and really work the crowd, especially with the āKansas City Royals will lose the World Seriesā bit. Does it mean Orton will not turn face? No. It just means Orton is great at getting a reaction from the crowd.
You finally see Paul Heyman come back and represent Brock Lesnar in the Cena-Orton promo. Cena teased giving Heyman an AA, but put him down. Orton didnāt back out at the chance of giving Heyman a RKO and left the ring with Cena and Heyman on their backs.
This sets up Orton vs. Lesnar at some point, which could be a great match. Plus, it takes Cena out of the title picture, which is great for fans who donāt want to see the Lesnar-Cena again.

Rollins stomps Orton to end show
Here we go. The road has been paved for Orton vs. Seth Rollins sometime in the future. You can sense it throughout the night that something was going to happen between these two, and it finally did.
Rollins is the golden boy in The Authority. Orton doesnāt need help from anybody. But these two are setting up a feud that could go all the way to WrestleMania, which wouldnāt be bad at all.
Having the show end with Rollins on top of the cell is great and leaves you to believe Orton will interfere with his match on Sunday.
Also, you can see Orton possibility winning the title from Lesnar, but Rollins cashing in his title shot and defeating Orton in the same night. Could it happen at TLC in December?
Mick Foley returns
Two weeks ago, you had The Rock return to Raw. This week, WWE Legend Mick Foley returned to visit āan old friendā, talking about Hell in a Cell.
Foley came out at the perfect time to address the match between Foley and Rollins and put over the cell structure.
What made the promo even better was the fact that Rollins and Ambrose stepped up to the plate and kept up with Foley. The hardcore legend has always delivered great segments on the mic, and could have easily left Rollins and Ambrose in the dust. But the youngsters held their own.
It was a great surprise to see Foley; I just wish the crowd would have appreciated Foley a little more. Heās a legend and one of the few men who really has given his body (literally) to professional wrestling, and itās sad to see him limp around.
Thank you, Foley.
Rusev gets more heat
Another great moment on Raw was at the end of Rusevās promo where he teased taking down the American Flag. A soldier comes running into the ring and gets kicked by Rusev as security was holding back the soldier.
What made the spot great was the fact that fans on social media thought it was real and that an actual soldier came in the ring. Obviously, that wasnāt the fact, but if fans canāt tell if something is real, youāre doing something right.
Misses

No more six-man tag matches
Throwing together six-man tag team matches is just lazy booking and doesnāt elevate the storylines involved.
Thanks goodness for Mizdow stealing the spotlight, again, and getting the win over Sheamus. Add in the reaction from The Miz and taking credit for the win, and you forget about the six-man match.
Does it make you interested in the matches involved? No. But it does peak my interest about what could happen with Mizdow at Hell in a Cell.
Ziggler loses two in a row cleanly
The Intercontinental Champion has had two rough weeks, resulting in two losses. Dolph Ziggler lost to Orton last week with an awesome finish and then his week to Cesaro. Both clean wins for Orton and Cesaro.
While Ziggler isnāt booked for Hell in a Cell, he should be in a match with Cesaro.
Still, I donāt like seeing the IC champ, who is the highest champion on the show each week now with Lesnar gone, getting beat.
Overall, a good show and leaves me excited for this Sunday. WWE canāt drop the ball and kill the momentum they have started to build.
Moore Thoughts: Alicia Foxās hair, what the heckā¦more focus on Mizdow this week, love itā¦these Wyatt Family vignettes are the best Iāve seen in professional wrestling in a long timeā¦Ambrose and his dummy segment was starting to get stale until Rollins came downā¦anybody interested in the Bella Twinsā match? I didnāt think so.
