Ryan Wilson is back on injured reserve for the Colorado Avalanche

So, the Colorado Avalanche have announced that defenceman Ryan Wilson is back in the injured reserve list. In other news, the sky is blue, and hockey fans don’t like Gary Bettman very much.

More from Colorado Avalanche

The 27-year-old has never played for an NHL franchise other than Colorado, so they’ve been the lucky recipient of his injury-prone self for years now. Some players are just made of glass, and I’m sure the Avalanche totally think he’s worth it!

The team is normally able to bounce back from an injury like this with little to no issues, but they are currently struggling to remain afloat in the league. After losing two consecutive matches to the Minnesota Wild, the Avs have continued to have issues posting wins. They’ve even lost to the Florida Panthers, which sort of sums up everything bad in the world of hockey.

To give you the skinny on the injury, Wilson is out for the next 2-3 weeks with a shoulder injury. Shouldn’t be too problematic getting him back in the game, but no guarantees he’ll stay there for long. It seems like the spent half of last season skipping in and out of the lineup due to various injuries, and that was nothing new.

On the bright side- last season saw mostly back, knee, and ankle injuries, per NBC’s Pro Hockey Talk. Does that mean that we’ve almost run the gambit of Wilson injuries? IS HE SLOWLY HAVING HIS BONES REPLACED WITH TITANIUM STEEL?

Hopefully, the Avalanche will be able to notch a win or two while he’s out.
