The Houston Texans will look to turn their season around on a short week when they take the field against the Tennessee Titans in week 8. When they do so, they will have to get by without one of their best players on defense.
Linebacker Brian Cushing has been bothered by a knee issue lately, and now the injury will force him to miss one week and possibly more. Cushing was listed as probable this past week and played against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night, but the issue apparently persists and will now force him to miss some time.
Pro Football Talk reports that Cushing will miss ‘at least one week’ because of the knee injury.
Cushing has recorded 50 tackles through the first seven games of the season. He is one of the key players on a defense that has looked much improved this season and figures to get Jadeveon Clowney back soon.
As they try to piece things together and prop up a team that is hampered by Ryan Fitzpatrick on the offense side of the ball, the Texans will hope that Brian Cushing does not have to miss extended time with this knee issue.
