Royals Legend George Brett Throws Out First Pitch At World Series Game (Video)

Kansas City Royals legend George Brett throws out first pitch at the World Series.
The Kansas City Royals host the San Francisco Giants in Game Two of the World Series on Wednesday night. They’ve found themselves down in a 1-0 hole and are looking to bounce back after losing their first game of the playoffs, yeah, let that sink in.
Before the game though, they brought out Royals legend George Brett, who was on the Kansas City Royals team that won the 1985 World Series, to throw the first pitch. Saying he was on that team is a little understated though, Brett batted .370 in that World Series.
Just like the 2014 Royals, the 1985 Royals were down in the series and mounted a comeback to win the the trophy in Game Seven, a game that Brett had four hits in.
It is also the second time that George Brett has thrown out a first pitch for the Royals during this post season run, the first time was during the American League Championship Series against the Baltimore Orioles.
Maybe Brett throwing out the first pitch can bring some of that Royals’ postseason magic into the World Series.
