Zepp Baseball Shows Off Hunter Pence’s Bomb
Zepp Baseball technology has redefined the game when it comes to perfecting your baseball swing, and thanks to their own athlete Hunter Pence, America got to see the results live last night in the World Series.
Last night, the Kansas City Royals and James Shields welcomed the San Francisco Giants and Hunter Pence into Kauffman Stadium for game one of the World Series. Unfortunately for the team of destiny (the Royals had won all eight of their playoff games), it would be a rude welcoming. Nothing was bigger though than Hunter Pence going yard in the first inning for a two run blast.

Yesterday, we unveiled the newest technology from Zepp Labs, showing off their newly redesigned mobile app as well as the Zepp sensor. Using this state of the art technology, athletes competing in baseball, softball, golf, and tennis can dissect and perfect their form. As fate would have it, Pence is a Zepp athlete, and his form looked just fine last night.
Looking at Pence’s normal swing through the eyes of Zepp Baseball technology, the company was able to shed some light as to why that home run was just such a thing of perfection.
This is how Zepp explains it:
In the above image, you can see that Pence’s average bat speed is 106 MPH, and the renderings depict his bat path.
In the second image (above), you’re looking at his overall data. The speed of the bat at impact is 106MPH, Pence’s hand speed is 41MPG, and it takes .108 SEC from his start to point of contact. The attack angle? 14 degrees. This is the science behind his swing.
Below, you will find Hunter Pence’s video talking about Zepp Baseball. While it is definitely worth a watch, it is clear to see why Zepp Baseball provides the technology to take your game to the next level. Anyone could see that Pence crushed that pitch from James Shields last night, but now Pence is able to understand, analyze, and replicate the success on a consistent basis.
Here’s to more launched home runs from Hunter Pence and Zepp Baseball.
