Fans will decide whether LeBron James will bring back the powder toss this season

After signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers this summer, LeBron James asked NBA fans via social media for input about what jersey number he should wear for the upcoming season.

Now, James is giving his fans similar power in deciding whether he brings back his famous pre-game powder toss.

From ESPN:

"“I may,” James said Friday when asked if he has thought about resuming his patented powder poof. “I’m going to let the fans decide and see what they think. If they want me to, I will do it.”(…)At the Cavs’ media day last month James said he would leave it up to his two boys – Bryce Maximus and LeBron Jr. – to decide if he should return to the chalk toss, but now says it’s all in the fans’ control.“My boys don’t need anything,” James said. “As long as I’m in uniform, that’s all they care about.”"

Considering how popular James’ powder toss was before he quit doing it in 2011, one should expect fans to resoundingly respond in favor of him bringing it back.

It surely would be a cool sight to see LeBron bring back the toss during the Cavaliers’ home-opener this season (Thursday, Oct. 30 versus the New York Knicks).

The Cavaliers drafted LeBron with the No. 1 overall pick of the 2003 NBA Draft. He spent the first seven years of his career with the team before signing with the Miami Heat in 2010. LeBron won two championships and made it to the NBA Finals four times in four seasons with the Heat. .

LeBron averaged 27.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game this past season with Miami.
