New Orleans Saints (1.5) vs. Green Bay Packers

I get that Drew Brees and the 2-4 New Orleans Saints are usually invincible at home in the dome, but they haven’t exactly beaten quality opponents in the SuperDome this year, as their wins against the Minnesota Vikings and Tampa Bay Buccaneers came against teams with a combined record of 3-10.

So then why would the Saints be favored over a Green Bay Packers team that’s 5-2–having won four straight games–and is firing on all cylinders on offense?

Got me.

Aside from Peyton Manning, there’s not another quarterback in the league right now that I’d want no part of than Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers has thrown at least three touchdowns and no interceptions in his last four games–all wins for the Pack–and owns 13 scores and zero picks during that span.

Brees, on the other hand, has thrown five picks over the course of his last three games and has seen his Saints struggle through much of this season. Brees doesn’t feel Sunday night’s matchup is a must-win for New Orleans, and I don’t either, but it’s still a huge game for the Saints, who could use a win with a tough schedule ahead. Give me Rodgers and the Packers here.
