Right now, the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers are the best options with the Minnesota Twins being the only open job in baseball. No matter where Maddon ends up, the contract figures everyone is looking at is in the $25 million range.
According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, Joe Maddon is seeking a deal that will pay him $5 million over a 5-year period. The $25 million contract is what many expected Maddon to ask for and it appears that’s going to be a figure to watch.
Heard Maddon seeking 5-yr, $25M range #Mets never going there for $ reasons. Also not sure Alderson believes mgrs should earn at that level

There are plenty of options on the table for Maddon and his price may go up. Right now, $5 million for Maddon seems to be a bargain of sorts considering he’s one of the best managers in baseball.
He likely won’t be out of work long, but given that the Twins are the only open managerial job at the moment, Maddon could change up the look of MLB clubhouses across the league.
