Tennessee Titans GM Downplays Trade Rumors
By Sam Richmond
The Titans are not looking to make another trade before the NFL‘s deadline, says their general manager Ruston Webster.
The Tennessee Titans recently traded linebacker Akeem Ayers to the New England Patriots, but that very well could be their lone deal before the NFL’s trade deadline.

Titans general manager Ruston Webster addressed the many trade rumors surrounding the team on The Midday 180 on 104.5 The Zone in Nashville and it doesn’t appear as if Tennessee has another surprise up their sleeves.
From ESPN:
"“We actively traded Akeem; that was something we were working on and trying to do and was good for both parties,” Webster said. “Outside of that, there’s really nothing imminent, nothing on the back burner. I’d be surprised if anything happened before the trade deadline.”"
Still, while it appears the Titans aren’t considering making another trade right now, it might be best for them to make another move. At 2-5, the Titans’ chances of making the playoffs are slim. If they could send a veteran player for a decent draft pick, they should seriously consider it.
Receiver Nate Washington, who recently lost his starting job to Justin Hunter, is a name to keep an eye on.
The Titans’ next game comes Sunday against the Houston Texans at 1:00 p.m. ET at LP Field.
