The Minnesota Golden Gophers are locked into a tough game against the Illinois Fighting Illini, and both teams have been making plays all afternoon long. Minnesota came up with a huge 54-yard passing play from quarterback Mitch Leidner to wide receiver Isaac Fruechte to pull back to within 14-10 of the Illini.
Minnesota is currently sitting at 6-1 on the season, and is looking to improve their bowl standing, while the Illini are simply trying to draw even on the year at 4-4. Needless to say, the Illinois defense cannot keep allowing plays like this if they want to come away with a win over the Gophers.
There is still plenty of game left, but both teams are leaving everything that they have out on the field. Tune into the game if you’re able to.
