The Pittsburgh Steelers have been written off as of late, but six touchdowns and 522 yards later from Ben Roethlisberger and attitudes are changing.
Ben Roethlisberger has won two Super Bowls in his career and become one of the best quarterbacks of his generation. But the recent downturn in production from the Pittsburgh Steelers has caused both the quarterback and his team to be written off in the AFC North. That all changed with violent force on Sunday afternoon when the Indianapolis Colts came to town and got blown away 51-34.

It’s not the score everyone is talking about though, it’s the performance by Roethlisberger that is grabbing all of the attention. On the afternoon, Big Ben went for a franchise best 522 yards passing and has his best day throwing touchdowns as well, racking up six on the day.
It was a career day for the Steelers quarterback, as he went nuts on the Colts defense in the most impressive of ways. There has been a lot of doubt about how much Roethlisberger has left in the tank, but he went off in front of his home crowd.
Just look at that stat line and try to not be impressed.

He may not be a young quarterback anymore, but Roethlisberger still has plenty left in the tank and isn’t going to slow anytime soon. Don’t expect six touchdowns and 500 yards out of him every week, but the fact that he’s over a decade into his career and still capable of putting up those kinds of stats is absolutely incredible.
