The
are owned by Wyc Grousbeck and Steve Pagliuca and the two of them are not only the owners, but they are also big fans of the Celtics. Grousbeck told
thethat they had received two serious offers to sell over the past two weeks, but the two have little intention to try and sell.
“They might, but I don’t want to discuss it,’’ he said. “With all respect . . . sorry.’’ Said Grousbeck.
Grousbeck not only is fan of the NBA, but he is a die hard Celtics fan. It would truly hurt him to sell the team that he loves and that is why he didn’t take any of those enticing offers and why he is still the owner of the Celtics. Grousbeck and Pagliuca love watching the Celtics games underneath the basket so that they can see the players.
Most owners are high up in press boxes, but not this duo. They truly love and care about this organization and it appears that they will be owning the Celtics over the long haul. Regardless of what happens, they will always bleed green and that’s what matters the most to them.
