Well Week 9 of the college football season is now officially in the books, and once again the rankings will see a bit of a shakeup after what took place on Saturday.
Without question the biggest shakeup occurred with the LSU Tigers knocking off the Ole Miss Rebels in Death Valley. Once thought of as maybe the best team in the country, especially after their win over Alabama just a few weeks ago, Ole Miss now has one loss and cannot lose another game going forward.
The Rebels and head coach Hugh Freeze are not out of the national title hunt just yet, but now their backs are against the wall and need to win out.
Also, the top team in the land, the Mississippi State Bulldogs, got all they could handle from the Kentucky Wildcats. They were able to pull out the win in the end, and should be staying right at the top.
With that being said, let’s have a look at how things could look when the polls are released on Sunday afternoon.
