Johnson scored on a 3-yard touchdown for Jacksonville late in last week’s 24-6 win over the
, the Jags’ first win of the season.
Johnson, a seventh-round pick out of UCF—where he was a teammate of Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles, has rushed for 64 yards on 20 carries with two touchdowns this season.
But with Toby Gerhart back after missing the last two games with a foot injury, it is the free agent who signed the $10.5 million contract who is active this Sunday rather than the rookie seventh-round pick.
However, it is former collegiate quarterback Denard Robinson who will start at running back for Jacksonville. Robinson ran for a career-high 127 yards and a touchdown in the win over Cleveland last week and leads the Jags this season with 221 yards on the ground.
