With multiple games being played at the same time, not every game is available to you. The folks at 506 Sports have made some coverage maps that help show which games are being played in which markets.
The early slot is always the busiest, but the CBS map for the early slate of games is rather straight forward and simple. Games are being shown in their related markets with a few regional match ups. The Seattle Seahawks game against the Carolina Panthers gets national coverage however.
The Indianapolis Colts game against the Pittsburgh Steelers gets the national spot light in the afternoon, of course their only competition is a game between the Oakland Raiders and the Cleveland Browns.
The Fox chart is a little bit harder to read because it has games from two time slots into one. The late game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Arizona Cardinals is getting a lot of national attention. The rest of the games feature regional match ups that are shown in their respective markets. the lone exception would be the Chicago Bears game against the New England Patriots fills in for a lot of the country that isn’t watching local games.
