Jon Gruden is always tied to job openings around the NFL, but the Oakland Raiders have emerged as the one job Gruden would consider leaving ESPN for.
Each and every off season, we hear rumblings and discussion about whether or not Super Bowl winning head coach Jon Gruden will leave his ESPN studio job to return to the sidelines.
The rumors never come to fruition, but a report on Sunday morning makes it appear that Jon Gruden would legitimately consider a return to the coaching world if he were to get a job with the Oakland Raiders.
At least that is the word from NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
Jon Gruden told one close friend: “If there is one job I’d come back to the @NFL for, it’s the #Raiders.” But will he leave his current job?

The Raiders are not a very good team and Dennis Allen is certainly a disposal head coach, so if Jon Gruden really wanted to return it would not be out of the question to see the Raiders front office dump Allen in order to get Gruden back on board.
Whether Gruden actually comes back to coaching and leaves his comfortable gig remains to be seen, but it seems like he is strongly considering the option.
