Report: NFL To Play 5 London Games Next Year
By Josh Sanchez
As the NFL continues to expand with their International Series, there are reports surfacing that the league will play five games in London next year.
According to report from the London Daily Mail, the NFL has agreed to play five games in London during the 2015-16 NFL regular season.
The NFL and commissioner Roger Goodell have been committed to expanding the league globally — even considering a team in London and potentially a Super Bowl — so this was a natural next step.
There could be more reasonable ways to go about expanding the game in different countries, like holding more regular season games in Canada or Mexico City, but the the league seems to really be dedicated to the London market.
As the league has done in the past, the ten teams who will have their games over in London will return with a bye week the following week.
What are your thoughts on the decision to expand from three to five games overseas? Sound off in the comments section below and share your thoughts.
