Arizona Cardinals general manager Steve Keim is pretty pleased with his selection of receiver John Brown in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver John Brown had his coming out party on Sunday.

The rookie scored the game-winning touchdown in Arizona’s 24-20 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, a 75-yard receiving score with 1:21 left in the game. Brown finished the game with 119 yards and the touchdown.

Now, it’s time for Cardinals general manager Steve Keim to gloat about selecting Brown in the third round of this past draft.

From MMQB.com:

"“I told you John Brown could play,” Arizona GM Steve Keim said by phone from Glendale, Ariz., an hour after the game."

Keim is right. He spoke very highly about Brown, even saying the following to Grantland.com during training camp:

"“I haven’t seen a rookie come in and do what he’s done — and it’s early still — since Anquan Boldin. This guy came through the first day, and being from Pittsburg State, has uncanny instincts, unbelievable understanding of route concepts, leverage, being in the right spot at the right time. On top of great ball skills, he has unusual speed and explosiveness. You add all that in combination, and it’s amazing this guy who came from Pittsburg State can do this."

While it’s still very early in Brown’s career, it certainly appears as if the Cardinals made a great pick with Brown.

Brown has already caught 22 balls for 316 yards with four touchdowns and one would think he’s only going to get better as the season progresses.
