After Tony Romo left the game with an injury, it was up to veteran quarterback Brandon Weeden to lead the Cowboys back from a seven-point deficit in the fourth quarter of Monday night’ game with the Washington Redskins.
Brandon Weeded did what he had to. The Cowboys went 80 plays in eight yards to the the game at 17 with 9:27 to play in the fourth quarter, just minutes after the Redskins took a 17-10 lead on Colt McCoy’s seven-yard touchdown run (yes it was Brandon Weeden vs Colt McCoy for a while). He found veteran tight end Jason Witten on a 25-yard strike. Looking for Jason Witten is never a bad idea.
Brandon Weeden went four-of-six for 69 yards before Tony Romo returned.
