Patrick is a 6-1.5, 230-pound back who chose the Seminoles over Alabama, Florida, Ohio State and Texas A&M. He is ranked as the No. 39 overall recruit, No. 3 running back and the No. 9 recruit in the state of Florida, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Patrick becomes the 19th commitment for Jimbo Fisher’s 2015 class and the second four-star running back, joining Johnny Frasier (Princeton, N.C. Princeton) and the Seminoles now own the nation’s No. 2 class with the commitment from Patrick, moving up from No. 7 in the 247Sports team rankings.

He has already taken official visits to Ohio State and Texas A&M in the first two weekends in September and has three remaining official visits should he decide to take them all.
His last in-home visit came from Florida State assistants Rick Trickett and Jay Graham on Oct. 23 as the writing was on the wall for some time that Patrick would be committing to Florida State where he last took an unofficial visit to on Jul. 16. He was also on campus for the school’s Junior Day in March.
One of the more heavily recruited players in the nation with 55 offers, Patrick received an offer from Fisher as a freshman and reportedly has built a strong relationship with FSU running backs coach Jay Graham.
Patrick has rushed for more than 2,000 yards as a sophomore and junior with a total of 4,185 and 59 touchdowns prior to his senior year and indicated he plans to graduate early and enroll early so he can participate in spring football with the hopes of putting himself in position to compete for early playing time as a true freshman.
With Patrick in the backfield, Florida State will once again have a loaded backfield with Dalvin Cook and Mario Pender leading the way with a new quarterback likely under center with Jameis Winston all but assured to be in the 2015 NFL Draft.
