“I have a little bit of an edge to me this year.” Garnett told Tim Bontemps on Monday afternoon. “I didn’t like how I ended last year, or how I even started last year.”
Garnett admitted that he didn’t fit in well with coach Jason Kidd last year and didn’t fully understand his role. Garnett is excited about the opportunity to play under new coach Lionel Hollins.
Garnett was often passive last season in order to try and get his teammates involved as much as possible, but Garnett vowed that he will be in full attack mode this season. All indications are that this season will be Kevin Garnett’s last, so he is going to put it all out there knowing that he has nothing to lose. Wait a minute, Garnett has put it all out there every single night for the last 19 years.
No matter what team you like you have to respect the passion that Kevin Garnett brings to the court every single night. Garnett wasn’t happy with his performance last season, so you know that he will work even harder to ensure that he bounces back this season.
