The Dallas Mavericks pushed the San Antonio Spurs more than anyone else in the postseason last year. Although they met in the first round, the Mavericks were the only to force the Spurs to go to a game 7 as the Spurs went on to win the NBA title.
The Mavericks, who are expected to be much improved thanks to the additions of forward Chandler Parsons and center Tyson Chandler, are battling the Spurs on opening night.
The Spurs decided to keep their team intact and re-signed forward Boris Diaw, who has been surprisingly good for the Spurs over the last few years. On Tuesday, he helped show us why. Boris Diaw went by Dirk Nowitzki, causing him to fall to the ground, an embarrassing moment for the future Hall-of-Famer.
