The Dallas Cowboys have suffered problems with injuries on the defensive side of the ball all season and Justin Durant is a huge loss for the team that is already playing without their best linebacker for the whole season in Sean Lee. Justin Durant is the team’s leading tackler despite missing two games and was impressive during the first half of the season.
The Cowboys defense doesn’t have the best depth; 2012 fourth-round pick Kyle Wilber is next in line behind Durant.
Justin Durant, 29, was drafted in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars out of Hampton College. Durant has been one of the most important assets for each defense he’s played on (Jaguars, Lions, Cowboys) but now he won’t be able to help the Dallas Cowboys push into the playoffs.
Dallas has played spectacular despite injuries this season with a 6-2 record. They got their second loss Monday night 20-17 against the Redskins. Momentum seems like it could go down hill for the Cowboys here, we’ll see how the Justin Durant injury affects them in the coming weeks.
