Today, we take our first official look at NBA Power Rankings with a Regular Season Opener Edition.

It’s finally here, basketball fans! Tonight, the 2014-15 NBA season kicks off with the defending champion San Antonio Spurs hosting the revamped Dallas Mavericks in a first round playoff rematch. Anthony Davis and the healthy New Orleans Pelicans also kick off their season against the newly extended Nikola Vucevic and his Orlando Magic, while the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers showdown in a battle between two of the league’s best shooting guards, James Harden and Kobe Bryant.

We’ve waded through a summer of draft picks and offseason moves. We’ve digested all that we could of the preseason and tried to keep up with who’s making each team’s final 15-man roster. We’ve even stomached some pretty sickening injury news in our last NBA Power Rankings that almost took away some of the excitement from the season openers. But now it’s time to take a look at where each and every team stands heading into the 2014-15 NBA season.
