New Orleans Saints Suspend Joe Morgan
The New Orleans Saints have suspended wide receiver Joe Morgan
Wide receiver Joe Morgan hasn’t exactly spent a ton of time on the field this season, although that’s not exactly a new concept to him. The 26-year old has been plagued by countless injuries and off-field issues since his college football career began; he played for two separate universities, and has been cited for as many off-field issues in the NFL as he has ACL tears and knee problems.

Signed by the Saints in 2011, Morgan has barely spent any time actually playing for the franchise; he went from being injured the season he was signed to being benched for other reasons; now, he’s been placed on the team’s reserve/suspension list.
The team hasn’t announced the reasoning behind the suspension, although the act itself doesn’t come as a huge surprise to fans. The receiver hasn’t appeared in a game since the first week of the 2014 season, in which he didn’t catch a single pass. He was benched in the subsequent game, and hasn’t been seen on the field since.
Morgan seemed to be a big threat back in 2012, when he ran for 379 yards on only 10 catches, but wasn’t seen last season due to his torn ACL. It seems as if the Saints have lost their patience for the player, as he most likely won’t see the field again this year.
