NFL Power Rankings: Lions, Patriots Surge Entering Week 8
By Josh Hill
The Denver Broncos continue to dominate the NFL and are still at the top of the power rankings. But beyond that, the NFL is a crap-shoot, as just about everyone — even the lowly Tampa Bay Buccaneers — are in the playoff hunt.
The NFL season is getting into the thick of things, as the playoff picture is starting to take form. That being said, it’s still a wide open field when it comes to who will secure playoff spots in both conferences.

It seems the only sure thing this season is the play of the Denver Broncos. Of all the teams in the NFL, they’re the most consistent and have the best chance to win the Super Bowl this year. The Dallas Cowboys were a favorite to make waves in the NFC, but their Monday Night loss to the Washington Redskins makes them look uneven and further shows just how topsy-turvy the NFL playoff hunt is this year.
