Despite being in a walking boot after the Vikings NFL Week 8 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cordarrelle Patterson looks to be good to go for Sunday.
The Minnesota Vikings traveled to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers on Sunday in what looked like a must win game. Facing an opponent with only one win, and coming off an ugly loss to the Buffalo Bills, the Vikings needed this one. Behind a stout defensive effort, the Vikings got the win but looked to have lost their talented wide receiver, Cordarrelle Patterson.

Despite Patterson being heavily involved in the passing game, and contributing in a big way for one of the few times this season, the Vikings had reason for worry. After the game, Cordarrelle Patterson was seen in a walking boot, causing some pause looking forward to the matchup with the Washington Redskins this weekend.
According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, it appears that Patterson is just fine and will be all systems go on Sunday. Apparently Patterson suffered a bruise that didn’t cause him to have to leave the game, but instead put on a boot following the game as a precaution.
Mike Zimmer also addressed guard Vladimir Ducasse saying that he hadn’t talked to him about his status for the game against the Redskins. Ducasse missed the Vikings game against the Bucs due to a knee injury.
Cordarrelle Patterson was expected to have a breakout 2014 campaign, and so far the results have been mixed. He has shown an electric ability when he has the ball in his hands, but he has also failed to run routes consistent enough for Teddy Bridgewater to get him the ball.
Always scary on the kick return, Patterson has yet to translate that ability to the receiving game.
As Minnesota welcomes Washington in TCF Bank Stadium, look for Patterson to pick up where he left off last week and be an integral part of the Vikings offense. Minnesota kicks off against Washington at 1pm ET on Sunday.
