Gurley has already missed two games, so the final two games of his suspension will need to be played out before he can rejoin the Bulldogs on the field.

Georgia learned of the news this week.

After admitting to receiving $3,000 for autographing memorabilia over the past two years, the NCAA determined Gurley must miss four games, repay a portion of the money received to a charity of his choice and complete 40 hours of community service.

Georgia submitted its request for reinstatement on Wednesday, Oct. 22.

After the NCAA requested more information from the universities internal investigation, which Georgia sent on Saturday, Oct. 25, and Sunday, Oct. 26. The NCAA then reviewed all of the additional information and informed Georgia of the ruling on Tuesday afternoon.

Because Todd Gurley was so transparent and forthcoming with the violations, he was able to avoid a more serious punishment.

Georgia is appealing the punishment and their appeal will be heard this week. According to the NCAA, “The committee can reduce or remove the conditions the staff has imposed, but cannot increase them.”

Should Gurley be reinstated sooner than Nov. 15? Sound off in the comments section below.
