The inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship Game is still a few months away, however it’s not too early to start planning the festivities for when the winners of the semifinal games will meet for the title.
In a press release sent out on Wednesday, the College Football Playoff announced that Zac Brown Band will be putting on a performance in Arlington at the tailgate party, just before we get to find out who the national champion for the 2014 season will be.
"The acclaimed Zac Brown Band will headline the Championship Tailgate at the inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship on January 12, 2015, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The band’s three platinum-selling albums, Uncaged, You Get What You Give and The Foundation, have sold nearly seven million copies total and produced a historic series of eleven #1 singles."
This is a good way to get things kicked off on Jan. 12, as the College Football Playoff is trying to make this first outing an event that college football fans surely won’t forget.
