Chicago Bulls rookie, Doug McDermott, played in his first NBA regular season game last night. It was on a big stage as the game took place on ESPN and was in the world famous Madison Square Garden. For McDermott he finally realized he was playing in NBA when he looked court side at celebrity row:
McDermott said his welcome to the NBA moment came when he saw Ben Stiller and Taylor Swift sitting courtside.

Here is what McDermott saw from the court:

This must have been quite an experience for McDermott who in March 2013 tried really hard to meet Swift. If it worked for Andre Drummond and Jennette McCurdy, it should work for Dougie McBuckets, right?
Unfortunately, McDermott couldn’t get #taylormeetsdoug to trend and Swift never acknowledged his presence on Twitter. Also unfortunately, there are no reports of McDermott trying to talk with Swift after last night’s game. Nor did McDermott tweet at Swift after the game. Did he just shake off his crush on the singer?
Probably not since he just recently followed the singer on Instagram:
Swift had plenty of time to scope out McDermott as he played 24 minutes and scored 12 points in his NBA debut. If he keeps it up, Bulls’ fans should reward McDermott by getting #tayolormeetsdoug to trend. He may be bashful about it but there is no way that McDermott can just shake off his desire to meet Swift.
Help him out Bulls’ fans!
