The NBA got off to a great start last night with a jam-packed slate of 12 games on the slate featuring Derrick Rose and Rajon Rondo returning to action and helping their teams to big wins to open the season.  Hopefully, your fantasy hoops season is off to a good start as well.  Whether you choose to play in season-long roto leagues, head-to-head category leagues, or one of the popular daily league options, it’s absolutely necessary to your fantasy basketball survival to keep track of emerging sleepers stepping up around the league.  To help you keep tabs on players stepping up, each day at Fansided we’ll help you out with the top five sleepers you need to know from the night before. This isn’t the place to come if you want to know how many points Kobe put up, or how close LeBron came to a triple double, but if you’re looking for fantasy basketball value, we’ve got you covered.

Here are the top five sleeper options who put up big stat lines last night:

player. 170. MKG is available in over 90% of ESPN leagues and a good bargain in almost all formats.  He turned in a very nice balanced line in his 34 minutes against Milwaukee last night hitting 6-8 from the field and 5-6 from the line while totaling 17 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and three blocks.  As long as he keeps playing major minutes, Kidd-Gilchrist should provide nice peripheral numbers and shouldn’t destroy your percentages since he’s not the primary shooter for Charlotte.. SF. Charlotte Hornets. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. 1

2. player. 147. Even though the Nets got run over by the Celtics, Teletovic showed his potential coming off the bench for Brooklyn. In his 23 minutes he hit four three-pointers and 8-11 from the field scoring 20 points to go with six rebounds, two blocks, and an assist.  Teletovic will one of the Nets top options off the bench and should turn in solid numbers most night’s this season.  He’s still available in almost half of ESPN leagues.. PF. Brooklyn Nets. Mirza Teletovic

93. Starting in place of the injured Michael Carter-Williams, Wroten filled in the box score nicely on Wednesday finishing with 22 points, eight boards, seven assists, and three steals in his 35 minutes in Phily’s 103-91 loss to the Pacers.  For as long as he’s loggin over 30 minutes a night, Wroten is a interesting play who will pile up coutable stats.  The only down side is his percentages which can drag you down a bit as he showed last night going 9-21 from the field (.429) and 3-8 from the charity stripe (.375).. SG. Philadelphia 76ers. Tony Wroten. 3. player

110. In the first post-LeBron game in Miami, Cole got the start at point guard for the Heat and poured in 23 points while hitting three triples and adding three rebounds and two assists.  He isn’t ever going to be a distribution specialist, but if you need scoring from your guard with solid percentages and some three-pointers, he’s worth a look as long as he keeps the starting job.. PG. Miami Heat. Norris Cole. 4. player

Donald Sloan. 5. player. 100.  If you’re looking for more peripheral stats from your guard and can sacrifice a bit of scoring, check out Donald Sloan who should see enough time to be fantasy relevant in the near future in the injury-depleted Pacers backcourt. Sloan played 34 minutes in the opener finishing with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists.  He is a solid addition if you need someone who will play plenty of minutes and pass out decent assist numbers in the coming weeks until George Hill returns.. PG. Indiana Pacers
