If the Golden State Warriors are going to extend Klay Thompson, they have until the NBA’s deadline Friday to do so. Not many teams have extended their fourth-year players although Cleveland Cavaliers‘ point guard Kyrie Irving, Denver Nuggets‘ power forward Kenneth Faried, Orlando Magic center Nikola Vucevic and Charlotte Hornets‘ point guard Kemba Walker have all gotten new deals.

If Marcus Thompson is correct, this would obviously be big news for the Warriors and it would be something Klay Thompson wouldn’t have to worry about throughout the season.
Klay Thompson scored 19 points on four-of-14 shooting and dished out six assists in the Warriors’ 95-77 win over the Sacramento Kings Wednesday night. Last season Klay Thompson averaged 18.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 44.4% from the field, 41.7% from beyond the arc and 79.5% from the charity stripe. In his career, Klay Thompson has gone for 16.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 43.5% from the floor, 41.0% from three and 82.7% from the charity stripe.
