Miami Heat: Josh McRoberts Listed As Probable Vs 76ers
By Wes Goldberg
Josh McRoberts will likely make his Miami Heat debut Saturday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
After fully participating in practice with the Miami Heat Friday, Josh McRoberts is probably for Saturday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers, according to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

This likely means the end of Shawne Williams being a starter. Williams struggled in the Heat’s season opening win against the Washington Wizards, making just one of his nine shots and missing all six of his three-point attempts.
The inclusion of McRoberts will lead to many horns set by the Miami Heat with McRoberts and Chris Bosh on opposite elbows. That should help create more space for guys like Dwyane Wade, Luol Deng, Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole to get to the rim.
McRoberts is a good passer and outside shooter, traits he shares with Bosh. That should help the Heat liven up the offense, and they will be able to run their sets from either side–much like how the Phoenix Suns run plays to either side with their two point-guard look.
The Heat signed McRoberts to a four-year, $22.6 million deal in the off-season. He agreed to sign before LeBron James announced he would sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but stuck to his commitment to the Heat.
