The Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers are looking like they’re picking up their old rivalry right where it left off, but some new faces are changing things up.
When the Cleveland Cavaliers acquired Kevin Love and signed LeBron James this offseason, there was the expectation that an NBA Finals is in the near future. What was also expected was the there would be renewed rivalries with old foes like the Chicago Bulls, who themselves beefed up their roster with talent this offseason.

Two of those new forces collided on Friday night, when Kevin Love met Pau Gasol at the basket and was rejected twice in a row on the same possession. It was more than just the same possession, it was twice in five seconds.
Bulls fans roared at the sight, while Cavaliers fans cowered.
This rivalry that the Bulls and Cavaliers had had ever since LeBron James came to town the first time clearly has not lost anything in his time with the Heat. If anything at all, this feels like the Bulls-Heat games from the last four years, and that’s just amazing for the sport of basketball.
It’s not always going to be Bulls fans roaring, as Cavaliers fans will get some shots in too, but overall this rivalry is already the best thing we’ve seen all season.
