Four Penn State football players were in the Halloween spirit a day early, and that resulted with criminal charges from an egg-throwing incident.

On Thursday night, a group of four Penn State football players got caught up in some trouble.

The players — tight end Brent Wilkerson, safety Anthony Smith, defensive end Garrett Sickels and center Wendy Laurent were charged with criminal mischief following an egg-throwing incident, according to The Daily Collegian.

The incident reportedly took place at Beaver Hall on campus, though no further details were given.

Kids.

“We are aware of the egg-throwing situation that occurred Thursday evening and will determine the appropriate measures for the four squad members involved,” the university said in a statement.

There is no word on whether the Penn State football players will be punished for their actions.

If they are, it is hard to imagine anything too lengthy from a little egg-throwing. Hell, even New England Patriots star quarterback Tom Brady admitted that he used to egg houses as a kid.

Out of the players involved in the incident, Laurent is the only player who had a shot at starting this weekend. Donovan Smith is dealing with an injury, so Laurent could have been in line to take the field with the starting offense.
