Russell Westbrook Argues With Clippers Fan While Leaving Game (Video)
By Josh Hill
The Oklahoma City Thunder lost Russell Westbrook last night to a broken hand, but his exit from the arena was almost more attention grabbing.
Russell Westbrook has been known to be a fiery guy, who isn’t afraid to let his passion for winning interrupt his status as a nice person. That was the case last night, when Westbrook got into it with a fan while leaving the court following a hand injury that forced him to leave.

Westbrook broke his hand on Thursday night against the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center, but it was the way he left the court that is making the headlines the morning after. While leaving, Westbrook started arguing with a fan and had to be pulled away by stadium security.
Here’s footage of what went down, as captured by the TNT cameras that were there for the game:
This is a terrible look for not only Westbrook but the Thunder as well. There have been huge questions about the Thunder and their franchise stability, and seeing their star player lash out at a fan shows that there may be more dysfunction here than we thought.
It’s not that Westbrook snapped, it’s that no one in the organization told him not to. LeBron James, Derrick Rose, Chris Paul and other top tier players would not have done this — no would Westbrook’s tempered teammate Kevin Durant.
The aggression was a glimpse inside of a rotting core inside Oklahoma City, and this could be a season that destroys everything that has been built.
