Cornerback DeAngelo Hall of the Washington Redskins, out since Week 3 with a torn Achilles, re-tore it while retrieving pizza from his kitchen, according to a report.
Pizza and football has been a dangerous combination lately … or at least pizza and football players.
Peyton Manning, be warned.
Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall, already out for the season with a torn Achilles he sustained in Week 3, tore the tendon again this week and required a second operation on Thursday, according to NFL.com.

Redskins coach Jay Gruben said Friday that Hall was re-injured while getting pizza from his kitchen.
It’s the second pizza-related casualty in the NFL in the last two seasons.
Last year, former Detroit Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson broke his arm in a single-car crash caused in part by him reaching across to prevent a box of pizza from falling off his front seat.
The injury isn’t a tremendous setback for Hall. It will set his recovery back about six weeks, leaving him enough time to be ready for training camp next summer.
But the Redskins could save $2.375 million against the salary cap next season by cutting the soon-to-be 31-year-old, who is in his 11th NFL season.
In three games this season, Hall had 16 tackles and one forced fumble. In his career, he has 43 interceptions and has brought five of them back for touchdowns.
Hall was the eighth overall pick in the 2004 draft by the Atlanta Falcons out of Virginia Tech. He signed with Washington after he was cut by the Oakland Raiders during the 2008 season.
